So many of the foods we use in cooking are also incredibly good for your health. And it may or may not surprise you to know that a lot of the food we add for flavour has actually been used specifically because it either helps our bodies digest the food we are adding it to, or starts breaking it down or tenderising it before we even put it in our mouths. Easy examples include mint with your lamb or lemon juice on your fish. And you just thought it was all about the flavour!
There are so many other examples of food we eat every day that benefit our health, packed full of not only vitamins and minerals (because everyone knows about those), but also full of lots of other goodies that are only just beginning to be understood. And I’m going to be putting it all right here on the website. And in the blog.
